The income tax declaration form has been significantly updated
The Federal Tax Service (FTS) has developed an updated income tax declaration form, which will be used starting from the reporting periods of 2025.
The corresponding draft order was posted on the Unified Portal for projects of regulatory legal acts.
The current income tax declaration approved by the order of September 23, 2019 is in force now.
This year, numerous amendments have been made to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation aimed at optimizing the tax system and implementing key aspects of tax policy.
In particular, the new rules provide for:
- increasing the income tax rate to 25%;
- clarifying benefits for high-tech companies;
- reducing the tax due to investments in fixed assets and intangible assets;
- revising the procedure for taxing the profits of foreign-controlled companies.
The Federal Tax Service noted that the new declaration form will also be used by foreign organizations operating in the Russian Federation through permanent representative offices. From 2026, they will be required to use a single standard declaration, which should reduce the costs of taxpayers.
